When you click a "email@xxxxxxx.com" link, IE\Firefox have a default set of programs it can open to send an email. Can you
set it to compose a Email from Gmail? I am tired of clicking links and having some other Email program open that I don't want to use.......
Such as "email" or Email me" hyperlinks that don't have the actual "email@xxxxxxx.com" address to cut\paste.

Yes, but i think you'll have to use a browser extension for that. For Firefox I use Gmail Manager. It can check your Gmail accounts for new mail on regular interval ls as weal as point the mailto: links to your preferred Gmail account.
