Who is better FIREFOX or IE???

If u cant delete ie and u just add on firefox will the clash with each or crash your computer....who is better to use......

Who is better FIREFOX or IE???windows vista home premium

I was a dedicated IE user for years, but that's b/c everyone created features for IE and you needed to update windows.

I would definitely say that Firefox is better b/c it has so many useful add-ons and extensions, the tabbed browsing is a real space saver. I used to have at least 5 IE windows open @ a time.

I would say hold onto IE. No reason to delete it. Just set FF as your default browser.

Who is better FIREFOX or IE???ie tab internet explorer

fire fox definately way faster
you can have both just fine, you can run them at the same time. firefox does hold up better performance wise.
I like ie, firefox dl too much crap onto my puter when I installed it.
Internet Explorer is a program. Firefox is a program. They exist seperately on your machine and so you don't "add on" Firefox. For this reason, if you install Firefox, you will not encounter any clashes between the two programs.

As for which program is better, it is undoubtedly Firefox due to it's ability to be expanded and the fact that it's open source; There are plenty of extensions you can download for it. A great extension for example would be a small search bar in the top right of your browser window which lets you search dictionary.com, or any other search engine site.

Firefox has an inbuilt popup blocker too and is a lot more secure than Internet Explorer is. It also conforms better to web standards and therefore renders pages more true to how they should look.

In conclusion, use Firefox.
Of course FIrefox is better than Internet Explorer for various reasons:-

1)Firefox is faster

2)Firefox has higher security

3)Firefox has extensions which add extra features according to what you need

4)Firefox comes with its own download manager so you don't have to get another one.

There are loads of reasons, the list runs long, log on to getfirefox.com for more information!
Firefox is much better than IE and having more than one browser on your system does not affect stability, I have four at last count. One of the problems with Internet Explorer is it's tight tie in with the Windows XP operating system. This is where most of the security issues arise. IE has the ActiveX controls which when exploited (due to various exploits) can be used to attack your operating system, in some cases without your knowledge. Microsoft tries (and does a poor job) to patch security issues in IE. Even with SP2, IE is still vulnerable.

Firefox does not have those problems and is therefore more secure. Currently the worst exploits for Firefox will simply crash the browser and all you have to do is restart it and no damage will be done to your system. The most serious exploit for Firefox will require you to clear out the log file before restarting it but these exploits are very very rare and are not likely to strike you.

Firefox includes many things that IE does not such as tabbed browsing and version 1.5 gives you the ability to reorder open tabs by dragging and dropping. It also has a built-in pop up blocker. Plus, Firefox has many extensions to expand it's capabilities. Some of my favorites include foXpose, https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/mo... which lets you view thumbnails of open tabs, Fasterfox, http://fasterfox.mozdev.org/ which speeds up your browsing on a broadband connection by using idle bandwidth to cache all the links on a page and then you can get an IE tabs extension, https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/mo... if you need to view a website with the IE engine. The reason you want the IE tabs is so that if you need to view a website with the IE engine you won't need to switch browsers as some sites do not render correctly in Firefox but that is rare. I also like the Google Toolbar on it as well, http://toolbar.google.com/

You will also need to install Shockwave and Flash player on Firefox separately, download them from Macromedia, http://www.macromedia.com/
I'd say a tie with Firefox %26amp; Opera.
