it will play files out of windows media player, but any sound or clips within IE 7 it will not play - this started 2 days ago - i cannot figure out what setting to change to get this to work. Thanks!

I'll bet you have to enable scripts. Somehow this setting got changed in internet options-%26gt;advanced. There are several other things depending on exactly what doesn't work. Try this first.
