when updates were ready to install, i clicked and it started to install new updates (I think i had ie6 and it was updating to ie7) It stated to restart, but when i did my laptop froze. I shut off computer and restarted with last good config. When pressing icon for ie, it states an error was encountered and will not open. Should i try to uninstall?how?or can i just download ie from internet (using mozilla because don't have ie)?
What is the best way to get ie back????At 1 point it said the procedure entry pt ie4unit.exe run setup command could not be located in dynamic link lib advpack.dll
Also, I have a lot of registry errors now (I don't think any of them for ie is any good)Any advice?Someone said that if i go to control panel and remove ie7 that it would revert back to prev version, but i don't see how...Please help!!!

YES, if you remove IE7, you will be back to IE6. Use mozilla to avoid this in the future

yeah it should be under Add/Remove Programs under Control Panel. If not, go to http://microsoft.com/ie using Mozilla and see if it'll let you start the installation using that browser.
If this still doesn't work, you can use System Restore
