Still having trouble with my IE webbrowser, how do I remove a porn paste on my home page?

I have several browsers loaded into my system, the most compatable with my HP system is the IE. There is a problem of a porn add informing me that I have been infected and prompting me to buy their software security. The page appears each time the site is opened. I have spyware bot, Aol McAF. and sweep after each internet exchange. The page still remains, I tried a Hijack this system sweep but alas I'm still infected. Answers? Blk by default

It went past your firewall?

Did you try Spybot?

If Spybot cannot remove it, you will have to do it manually.

If it did happen in the last few days, you could also use the last restore point to get ride of it.

Otherwise, you need to figure out the name of the program.

First... see if it is in the list of the Add/Remove programs.

But that would be too easy...

I reckon Spybot first

And the restore point if Spybot does not work.

Get Ad-Aware, Ewido Anti-Spyware (google them). Then download AVG Anti-Virus. Run them all in that order. That's usually good enough for most people that aren't power users.

PS: Don't click on popups, upgrade IE and start using Mozilla Firefox instead.
yea ad-aware works great for me, my comp guy put it on my comp and I'm sure glad he did.........I never heard Ewido Anti-Spyware the 1st guy who answered this question said for you to use. But I use just ad-aware and it works, oh and of course an anti-virus, i've noticed nothing works like norton but if you can't afford to buy that every single year AVG worked very good for me. I know you can get AVG at download.com.....good luck with all that ;o)
You need to stay away from the site, that the add keeps popping up on before you get something you can't get rid of and have to reformat! Some of those sites carry some real nasty viruses and spy ware. (not preaching just stating the obvious) You probably should try running they spy scan and the virus scan in safe mode (reboot and press F8 as soon as the computer starts to come on) Turn off system restore prior to and remember to turn it back on after you finish scanning! Good Luck!
You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
